Marcelo has worked for Southland Pest Control Inc. since the start, he takes his job seriously and always does the right thing for our clients. Marcelo is trained and certified in bed bug and termite heat treatments to provide clients with no chemical treatments, Marcelo is also trained and certified in xt-2000 Orange Oil treatments and alternative to full structure fumigation with no move out during treatments.
Marcelo runs the termite department by going over every termite inspection performed by our licensed termite inspectors.

How We Work: Southland Pest Control Our Codes and Practices.
At Southland Pest Control, the use of pesticides will always be the last alternative for eliminating pests. This concept is consistent with an EPA-approved Integrated Pest Management (“IPM”) program. IPM utilizes all possible pest control techniques in managing existing and potential pest infestations. While pesticides are a necessary tool in the IPM program, they take on a decreased role. The goals of our IPM Program are to:
- Change the living environment of the pests to make it less likely that the pests will be able to survive
- Use inspections and monitoring devices to determine where pests are active
- Use only safe and approved pesticides when needed and as a last resort
- Apply pesticides only to those area(s) where pests are active usually on the exterior of the home
The key to all successful pest control is proper sanitation and exclusion. Communication is another critical component for a successful IPM program. In order for the IPM (Integrated Pest Management) program to work, the client and Southland Pest Control must work together.
For instances where pesticide is the chosen alternative, Southland Pest Control utilizes a full line of EPA approved and safe pesticides. Pest Control and Termite Inspections will work closely with each client to determine the best pesticide and technology to utilize in solving the problem.
